James was born in Little Clacton, Essex about 1782 and had four children with his wife Elizabeth; all born between 1808 and 1815 in the City of London; Susan, James John, Mary and another John. So far we have not found Elizabeth's maiden name or details of their marriage. Eileen is descended from the Leggett Funnell = Mary Gooding marriage shown above.  The registers we have searched for this family are in the City of London Record Office and the Essex Record Office.
